Mark: The Gospel through the Eyes of Peter
Wednesday Mornings Beginning September 4 After Morning Mass
The Gospel of Mark has long been regarded as the authoritative teaching of Peter, composed by his follower, Mark. This study is a deep dive into this foundational book of the Bible. In the 18 week study, join Fr. Patrick Winslow, JCL andMichael Pakaluk, PhD, as they examine this compelling introduction to the Christ. See Jesus through the eyes of Peter. Experience him as a worker of mighty deeds who expels demons, heals the sick, who teaches that the Kingdom of God has arrived in power and why it was necessary for the Christ to suffer.
The study includes an extensive full-color commentary explaining the entire biblical text, teaching videos with an indepth look at a particular passage each week, questions to reflect on the biblical text and how to apply it to your life, supplemental readings from the Catechism, Church teachings, and the Saints.
This study begins on Wednesday, September 4 from 9:40am-11:30am in the Parish Center. The cost of the study guide commentary and personal access to streaming video of the lessons is $37.00 collected during class. Register at the Parish Center Office or by contacting Joan Willems at 708-352-8628 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
