AGING CARE CONNECTIONS SEEKS VOLUNTEERS
Aging Care Connections is in urgent need of volunteers for front desk reception responsibilities. During the next few months, the Illinois State energy assistance program (LIHEAP) will be offered through Aging Care Connections to qualified individuals. We anticipate a flood of calls from people in the community needing this assistance. Aging Care Connections is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of older adults and their families through community-based services that promote dignity, self-respect and independence. Founded in 1971, Aging Care Connections provides comprehensive social work services, education, and health and wellness programs to adults sixty years of age and older in twenty-two communities within the west and southwest suburbs of Cook County.
Aging Care Connections offers a comprehensive range of programs and services specifically designed to meet the changing needs of the older adult population. As a resource for older adults and their families, professional staff provides needed support through services offered in-house and through linkage with other community organizations.
Each year, more than 8,000 older adults and their families receive services. Aging Care Connections offers older adults an opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences and receive the assistance they need to remain vital members of the community.
