This page is to layout this year’s curriculum. The seventh graders will be using the Go Math! Accelerated 7th Grade text. The purpose of the Accelerated version is to prepare the students for Algebra I their 8th grade year. You will notice in your child’s text the Common Core State Standard (domain and cluster) is listed under each module. We will be learning 7th and 8th grade standards. If you plan to have your student practice these standards using IXL, please ensure you are clicking the correct grade, along with the correct skill. If you need help, feel free to contact me.
Within the class, we will work on units and modules. Units are similar to chapters and modules to sections. After we complete each module, there will be a module quiz. When all modules of a unit are complete, we will have a unit test. Please refer to the syllabus for a breakdown of the grading scale.
Listed below is the order of the units of which we will be learning. You will notice the units seem to be out of order. To keep common standards together, I have rearranged the order of the units. Additionally, below the list, are the standards for each unit, and the essential questions.
