Q: I currently donate via ACH payments every month. Do I need to convert to this Online Giving program?
A: You do not have to, but it would be beneficial to you and the parish as it would streamline the process for the parish. This online giving program allows you to make withdrawals from a checking or savings account or through a major credit card.
Q: I like to have something to place in the Offertory basket every Sunday. How would I do that if I contributed online?
A: St John of the Cross is grateful for your participation and generosity. We have developed online giving receipts that you can download (HERE) and you may place those in the basket during the Sunday Liturgy if you would like. Or if you prefer, there is now a box on your parish envelopes to indicate that you give electronically.
Q: Is online giving secure?
A: Yes, St John of the Cross has made sure that your donations are kept confidential and that the information provided is secure and private at the highest level possible.
Q: Can I designate my gift or contribute to more than one fund at a time?
A: Yes, the online giving form allows you to set-up recurring or one-time gifts to the following funds: Sunday and holy day Offertory, Sharing Parish, Parish Maintenance/Landscaping, or any archdiocesan special collection. You may also contribute to the Sr. Anastasia/Keeping Kids Catholic Fund, make a pledge payment to Our Legacy or purchase a Mary Garden Pavers or a Livestock for Life gift certificate. Giving to Share Christmas can also be done online!
Q: How can I make a change or stop my contributions?
A: To change or stop your gift, simply check the box at the beginning of the form that indicates an update to an existing recurring donation. There is even a space for any special messages you would like to send us.
Q: What are the benefits of online giving?
Giving to SJC electronically is easy and convenient and provides you with flexibility – you can give monthly, quarterly or annually, the amount of your gift is easily adjustable, and you can choose to give from either your checking/savings account or major credit card at no cost to you. The church benefits in a variety of ways including better operational cash flow management, reduced administrative costs, and less paper waste and opens funding opportunities up to those who wish to contribute, but may not be able to be with us on Sundays.
