IT’S UNBELIEVABLE!

How many times have you said, “It’s unbelievable?”

I witness so much goodness in our parish and have always known that the Holy Spirit is at work in our midst.  Oftentimes I hear people say, “That’s unbelievable!”  The longer I’m on staff at St. John of the Cross Parish the more evidence I witness that all of this is not “unbelievable.”

I accompanied a teenage L.T./Crossroads student, who has been a part of many service projects since sixth grade, to the Holy Thursday Service.  We both were asked to have our feet washed.   We talked about the symbolism that was called up at the service.  We laughed a little about being chosen, and also cried a little at feeling “chosen.”  Her mom was told by her daughter afterward, “Mom, I feel so happy and proud to be a Catholic!”

By being present, we were able to share something very precious and very believable.

Once again, a parishioner called with a very believable and generous offer.  Because of Ed Usonis’s generosity, we delivered 75 delicious Easter hams to several Sharing Parishes and SJC parishioners a few days prior to Easter Sunday.   His generosity, like yours, provides for so many in a very real and believable manner.

Thank you!
