Ready – Respectful – Responsible

A part of our mission at St. John of the Cross Parish School is to provide students a learning environment conducive to the development of the whole Christian person and to create a pleasant atmosphere where each child can strive to attain his/her maximum potential.   To achieve this end, three R’s banners (ready, respectful, responsible) are posted in key places throughout the building and posters in every classroom.  The banners and posters highlight our Catholic Identity, positive character traits, and virtues expected of our students. Each month, the Principal recognizes students who exemplify these traits and are recommended by their classroom teachers.  Each grade level teacher plans their own in-class recognition.  As a result, our students strive to respect and accept responsibility for their actions and understand the effects of their choices.
