Dear Local School PTO/PTC Representative and/or Liaisons to Parent Community Network,

Parent Community Network (PCN) has met several times already this school year and we wanted to provide you with an update. Please share this information with your PTO/PTC and your families.

NEW WEBSITE: 
PCN has just launched a new website at www.parentcommunitynetwork.com
Be sure to visit the site and also subscribe to receive the latest news and event information directly to your email. We hope you and your families find it useful.

SAVE the DATE:
The 15th Parent University will be on Saturday, February 4, 2012.  We already have over 20 presenters secured on a variety of topics including:  anxiety, balancing work & family, internet safety, hormone havoc, available parent, middle school minds, today’s teens, disciplining with love, managing college costs, food for thought, study skills, and many more!  More details will follow – with the brochure available in mid December.  The cost is just $20 in advance; with childcare available.

PCN NEWSLETTER:
We have a content-packed Fall/Winter newsletter in the works now.  These will be sent to schools for distribution in late October/early November either electronically or in paper form.

DONATIONS:
A letter will be sent to all school organizations in the next month or so requesting you to consider supporting us.  We greatly appreciate your generous donations.

UPCOMING MEETINGS:
You and/or anyone in the community is welcome and invited to get more involved with PCN.  Our two upcoming meetings are scheduled for:  Thursday, October 06, 2011 at 6:30 PM and Thursday, October 20, 2011 @ 9:30 AM.  Both meetings will be held at LTHS – South Campus in either Jeanne Widing’s office or the conference room.

THANK YOU FOR helping communicate information to your PTO/PTC’s.  Together, we can help parents raise well-adjusted children and youth and provide them with the necessary support.
