Summer Time, Summer Time, Summ…Summ…Summer Time!

Ready or Not! Here it comes!

Be Ready…Stock up on necesary summer items-  Emergency Allergy care items- if you have someone allergic to bee stings--check expiration dates of Epi-pens and Benadryl. Don’t forget Asthma Inhalers- if your child has exercise induced asthma- older kids may carry their own- make sure they still have it, and check expiration dates. Give reminders to those with food allergies- picnics and parties are times to be on extra alert for problem foods that may not be labelled.

Replenish Sunscreen, bug repellant, sunburn care, & first-aid kits.

Talk to kids about Summer Safety: Using the buddy system when at the pool and in crowds; Wearing protective gear- helmets & pads during sports & bicycling, skate boarding, & rollerblading.

Inspect each other for insect bites & ticks following camping & hiking.

Teach Water Safety to kids while enjoying swimming, boating, and fishing as a family.

Enjoy a Healthy & Safe Summer Vacation!
