Teen Reflection ~ Elaine
John 12:35 says, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going.” Everyone faces dark times when their future is unsure. But while we are in times of light—while we are not facing the hardest of times—we should help those in darkness. We never know when we will be in their shoes. Tables turn so quickly, and inevitably, everyone faces times of darkness and times of light; it is up to those of us in times of light to help those in darkness.
And sometimes, the people you think you’re helping end up helping you. They end up teaching you a lesson or two. The light spreads in both directions. And that’s why we’re all here today. The people we thought we were helping ended up helping us.
